“I'd attended many of Gabbi's yoga classes in person and virtually. Gabbi's presence is always consistent, warm, and welcoming. She is very knowledgeable, patient, and attentive, making sure that everyone in the class can follow along easily. The atmosphere she creates is always calming and serene, making it easy to focus on each movement and my breathing. I left every class feeling refreshed, energized, and grateful for the experience. What I love most about Gabbi's class is that you will receive the same blissful experience whether you attend in person or online. I highly recommend Gabbi's class to anyone looking to deepen their yoga practice or simply to recharge.”

“Gabbi is pure magic! Her practice is not only beautiful, but she carefully infuses her practices with mindful movement, intentional breath and moments of deep meditation. She challenges you physically all while creating a space to honor yoga in its purest forms — beyond the asana. If you’d like to feel embodied and supported (both physically and spiritually), there is no doubt you have found the perfect teacher.”

Yoga is for everyone. It’s just about finding a class that aligns with your intention for the practice. Yoga is so much more then flexibility, handstands, and fancy movements. Yoga is about surrender, connection, and awareness. Each of my classes welcomes the true essence of yoga, which means I offer a safe space to find what works for you even if that looks different then your neighbor.

Yes! Please tell me ahead of class if you are pregnant so I can offer you proper modifications and props needed to support you. For my private clients, I advise avoiding twists, close legged forward folds, and your typical vinyasa. I also encourage using a bolster to support yourself in the more relaxing postures.

Starting your yoga practice can be intimidating but when you find a place and teacher that aligns with you desires, the practice can feel sooo much more welcoming. If you want to prep your body before coming to class try my intro to yoga class! (link). All my classes are beginner friendly, please let me know when you arrive that this is your first class. One of the biggest struggles I find with my new students is comparison to others in the class who may have been practicing for 10 years. Part of the practice is surrendering and accepting how you are showing up on your mat, offering yourself grace as you try something new! Don’t forget our self talk, discipline to keep showing up, and compassion is also yoga!

Saying namaste is controversial in the west. Namaste is a greeting in hindu culture. It's like saying “hey” or “what’s up.” Using it at the end of a yoga class is appropriating the hindu culture. You’ll notice I end my classes with OM and Thank you.
-
OM signifies the creation, beginnings, totality, and supreme source or power. Closing classes with the sound of OM invites students to connect with this infinite source of creation within. Also, it serves as a reminder that you can always begin again.
